Star Wars Boba Fett Blaster Signature Edition Replica

Finding a Boba Fett blaster is not going to be an easy task, but here you have three. The first example is the collector’s edition, the Star Wars Boba Fett Blaster Signature Edition Replica, from Master Replicas. Then there is a mid-grade, scaled down replica, and finally a costume and toy-class version which does not retain the same color scheme, and is meant for play.

Boba Fett Blaster

It is only one of a thousand made (1 out of 1,000). This, like the Supreme Edition Boba Fett costume, is meant only for the serious fan and collector of the goods of the Star Wars franchise – this isn’t a child’s play toy.

For that, by the way, you can keep scrolling down and you can find other examples of the Boba Fett blaster that you can play with or use in your Halloween costumes. But this blaster is meant for the collector to display.

What makes this Boba Fett blaster so unique is the signature of the actor who donned the Boba Fett costume in the movies, Jeremy Bulloch. Crafted by Master Replicas, this authentic Star Wars replica blaster is true to the movies, even complete with a weathered look.

The display case looks as if it belonged in a museum, and features a classy mirrored base. The “glass” is actually acrylic, and the signature of old Bucket Head Bulloch is on a plaque inside the case.

If you want to be sure this is the real Boba Fett blaster you’re paying for, there is a certificate included to verify the authenticity of the piece. Just think, you or that special Boba Fett fan in your life will be the lucky recipient of only 1 out of 1,000 pieces – and the franchise is more or less a closed storyline.

George Lucas does not have plans to release further movies at this point, so that means the investment is going to do nothing more than apprecieate in value. This is a very rare opportunity to grab a piece of the Star Wars universe and encase it, and watch the value shoot up like most of the classic toys and other gear has done in time.

If you want to have a replica that you can feel better about handling, one that is not signed, then you can click the following picture and link to find a great blaster for that:

What both of these have in common is their general construction, both of them are scaled replicas, though the signature Boba Fett blaster is made by Master Replicas – they were renowned for making the best Star Wars replicas from helmets to costumes, weapons like these Boba Fett blasters to everything in between.

This latter model is die cast in construction, with molded plastic parts (injection molds), all topped off with an authentic looking “antiqued” or “weathered” feel. This is not the same size as the props used to “shoot” with, it is scaled in size to 1/3 the full size. Nonetheless, it is full of all the details that make it a masterpiece.

Overall it is 6″ in length, and does include the display that is depicted. You can keep this blaster alongside a collector’s edition Boba Fett helmet and armor, and figurines to boot. The manufacturer has also decided to, at random, ship “chase versions” of this blaster – if you happen to luck out, you just scored a rare collector’s item!

Boba Fett fans will recall the ominous presence of Boba Fett in his first appearance, which was in Empire Strikes Back (episode V), where he was on the bridge of Darth Vader’s Star Destroyer with the other bounty hunters.

Their command was to fetch Han Solo, in an attempt to lure his son, Luke Skywalker. Fans of the series will also recall how Boba lost his life – reportedly – in the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi, ironically thanks to a lucky break by Han Solo, still blinded by the carbonite poisoning.

In the prequel series, it was learned that the genetic makeup of the entire Imperial army, all of the Storm Troopers, were identical to Boba’s father, Jango Fett. Father taught son, and Boba grew in his hatred of the Jedi when the late Mace Windu beheaded Jango in front of Boba on the Battle of Genosis, at the beginning of the Clone Wars.

Picking up his father’s helmet, Boba made a pact to get revenge – which is where we find him in the story when he was on the bridge of Darth Vader’s Star Destroyer.

Unlike Jango Fett’s blasters, Boba Fett had more of a handle, a butt stock, to his blaster which is taken from the final movie, Return of the Jedi. This Scaled Replica Boba Fett blaster measures about 6 7/16 inches by 1 15/16 inches by 2 1/2 in. The display case is about
7 7/8 inches by 3 7/8 inches by 4 5/8 inches.

Here is the “toy” or “costume” version of the Boba Fett blaster:

Star Wars Clone Wars Electronic Blaster – Boba Fett

Boba Fett Blaster

This is obviously meant for play, with the barrel being lime green and ending with a safety orange tip. This Boba Fett blaster is electronic, so it will light up when you pull the trigger and will make typical battle sounds as well.

On the stock of the blaster is the symbol of the Mandolore, the symbol of the race of people that Fett would later save (this according to the “Expanded Universe” lore). This blaster is from the Clone Wars line of gear, which may explain the presence of the symbol. According to the Expanded Universe, Boba Fett’s Mandalorian Battle Armor would protect him from the full force of the Sarlacc Pits’ digestion (See Return of the Jedi).

No matter what storyline you put yourself in, chances are you have a Star Wars fan in your midst that would love to be the galaxy’s best, most feared bounty hunter – the one who captured Han Solo and collected Jabba the Hutt’s bounty. Armed with this electronic Boba Fett blaster, young and old alike can get a taste of that galaxy far, far away.
